RIP Brenda Joyce (1917-2009)

I just heard Brenda Joyce, most famous as the lady who succeeded Maureen O’Sullivan as Jane in the Tarzan movie series, died on July 4 2009. I’m sorry Ms. Joyce for the delay.

She played opposite two famous Tarzans, Johnny Weissmuller and Lex Barker.  She retired from films in 1949.  A family friend stated for a decade, she worked for the immigration department to help immigrants find housing and jobs.
