RIP Karl Malden

This is not a good summer for celebs.  This is my 3rd RIP in a week. As a kid I saw some episodes of The Streets of San Francisco, my first introduction to Oscar-winner Karl Malden born Mladen Sekulovich of Serbian and Czech parentage.

By my teens I had already seen I Confess, On the Waterfront, and Dead Ringer.  I saw A Streetcar Named Desire (Best Supporting Actor), Baby Doll and Kiss of Death a few years ago.  Pretty good resume, eh? 

At least he lived to be 97. He’d been making movies since the 40s and guess what?  He was married for 70 years.  Wow! That’s so beautiful.  I hope they were very much in love.
